Dear Pilar, Alfred and Company,

Thank you very much for your commitment and support to our project and also for sending the second financial support through your sister Veronica last week. The total amount she sent to our bank is P 55,200 pesos and I think she sent it last Monday.

Manang Pilar thank you for calling me last Tuesday, unfortunately I arrived a little bit late that day. Thank you too for giving me the Telephone number of your sister. Then I was able to call her right away. The next day, a Wednesday, I checked our account and the money was there. I thereupon withdraw 2,500 pesos, 2,000 pesos for two bottles of insulin and 500 pesos to open a new account for Bianca`s support. I will have to send you the account number later. The Bank required a pass photo which I did not have at the time and I will hand this in tomorrow.

Sorry, that I was not able to e-mail you since last Thursday. I went to Lias for the burial of Wilfredo Masadao the son of the village Captain of Kanluran. He was playing basketball when he suffered difficulty in breathing. Although first aid was applied and he was brought to the hospital of Barlig, he was already dead on arrival. He died Saturday and was buried on the following Friday. He cause of death remains unknown.

Bianca and her parents were very grateful for the help and support you are extending them. They wanted to write you and Mrs. Schumacher but I did not have your address at the time. May I on their behalf express thanks to you all and Mrs. Schumacher.

I had a meeting with the fruit growers association officers, they have been having troubles with the heavy rains which have been prevailing these last past few days. As soon as it stops, they will continue to haul sand and gravel from the river to finish the construction of the seed bed. I advised them to plant the coffee seeds as soon as they have completed this task. I informed them that the extra money you sent will be used for the construction of the nursery later on.

They were all delighted to see their faces in the internet. The village Captain said that he will laminate his photo with the German wordings.

I also told them about the package that you are sending and when it arrives they intend to distribute it by drawing lots. In this way nobody will be put at a disadvantage.

By the way, I am supposed to use only 1,000 pesos for the medicine, it being the equivalent of 25 Euro. But since the bottles have to be used in pairs, one clear and the other one cloudy, I have to use the two thousand pesos. Anyway for the next month I will only use 1000 pesos. Mrs. Kacayon will then shoulder the another one thousand.

Next time you write, please send your address and also that of Mrs. Schumacher. Also the E-Mail addresses, so that Bianca and her parents can express their sincere thanks to you all. The addresses have been deleted in my computer.

Once again, thank you all for your help and support with our project and best wishes to everybody there. We are praying for your best performances as you sacrifice your time in showing our customs and traditions to our various Germans friends over there.
